Sunrise Scramble

The challenging navigation of finding your way in the dark on unknown trails. You’re either one or the other when it comes to catching sunrise or sunset. For me, it’s sunrise I find myself chasing often over sunsets. The more I think about why and when making this photoset it revealed why in more detail. There’s something about the sense of quiet and the small dark hours finding your way under head-torch all to be revealed slowly as the first light starts to unfold. It’s a bit like unwrapping a geographic gift.
